What is Commitment Radar?

Commitment Radar reads the documents and notes you choose and finds what reads like something you said you would do. Each finding shows the exact text and where it came from, and nothing becomes a task until you accept it. New scans are part of Premium.

What it looks for

Commitment Radar looks for unchecked items, lines marked as action items, items under headings such as “Next steps” or “Open questions”, and sentences that read like promises: something you said you would do, something someone else agreed to do, or a follow-up you noted.

It tells you how it found each one. Found in the text means the document marks it as open, such as an unchecked item. nubbio’s reading means a sentence reads like a commitment, so you check it.

What a finding shows

  • What: a title taken from the text.
  • Why: the reason, for example “Reads like something you said you would do, in “Q3 planning notes.md”.”
  • Evidence: the exact text, word for word.
  • Where it came from: the file or the notes it was found in.

A date in the text stays a quote. nubbio never turns it into a deadline.

You decide

Accept a finding and it becomes a task in My Tasks. Correct its wording, dismiss it, assign it to a project or move it to the Decision Inbox. Corrections and dismissals are kept when Radar reads the same source again, after a restart and after a change of plan.

You control the sources

Radar reads only the locations you authorize. You can pause a source, exclude folders, remove it (accepted findings are kept) or delete its saved text. Work sources need a separate confirmation. If a file goes missing, it is marked unavailable and the saved copy is kept.

Questions

Does Commitment Radar upload my documents?

No. It reads the files and notes you choose on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

Does it use AI?

No. Commitment Radar works with rules, without AI and without a network connection. nubbio’s AI features are off until you turn them on.

Will it set deadlines for me?

No. When the text mentions a date, the finding quotes it, for example “by Friday”. No deadline is set unless you add one.

What happens to my findings if Premium ends?

Everything already found stays viewable and exportable. Reading new sources needs Premium.

Which devices does it run on?

On the Mac, where you can choose folders and documents, and on iPhone, where you can import a document or paste notes.
